Dear Friends: The Great Tohoku Earthquake

I am alright in Tokyo as I told before, and things are getting better I suppose.

These couple of days, I've been taking action to offer my old house in Fukuoka, Kyushu, for the refugees of the Tohoku earthquake.

As you may know, the house is kind of big, left vacant as my parents have gone, in good condition, equipped with everything, water, electricity & gas ready to use, and even a car! Why not doing so?! It's the time.

Kyushu is pretty far from Tohoku of course, but still can't be too far. I believe there will be such demands among refugees, some would go all the way to Fukuoka.

In fact, I read on the net that already two families from Fukushima, where the nuclear power plant is, were settled in Fukuoka, at houses provided by the Fukuoka Prefectural Office.

The movement is not only government, central/local. People are taking same actions all over Japan, in addtion to donations and volunteers, and supporting networks are being formed. This is really encouraging at this time of big challenge.

Currently I'm not sure what will happen to my Fukuoka house, because I'm not familiar with these afairs (maybe nobody is). But anyway I will let you know. I am blessed as I can offer.

I wish you will be back to Japan soon.

Mata-ne!
TSURU
